This week I introduce one of my favorite sporting Network and app Bally Sports Network! I dive into the details of what this app is specifically and all that it can offer you guys! Then I give some of my favorite aspects that made me enjoy it the most. As always I will recap what's been going on with the Cavaliers, and give you my perspective for some of the upcoming events during the off-season.
This is from the Guardians 2022 Home Opener! We may not have gotten the Win but it was a great experience!
Bally Sports Network
This season has been a long one and I’ve enjoyed every second being a Cavs fan and sharing my experiences and information with you guys! I think if there was one thing I could promote or give you guys some info on for the end of this season it would be Bally Sports Network! Not only do you basically need this platform for all your Cleveland sporting needs ( Cavs, Guardians, Blue Jackets, Reds), they have a ton of extra features that really make it worth it! I’m going to give some background on the network and some of the inside things that I really like on the app!
First off, Bally Sports Network is the official TV network and provider for the Cleveland Cavaliers, And Guardians! But they have so much more. They have MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, and some NFL( I didn’t have the app during the 2021 NFL season). Of course they play every Cavaliers’ and Guardians' games throughout the season (not including playoff games). One awesome feature is this platform also has most of the live games in season for most teams! They have basically any team that is covered by Bally Sports, which is a lot! But also they have all of the pre-game and post-game shows and interviews for each club or team on their specific page in the network. They show game highlights and interviews with the players and coaches and have the teams specific media groups so it is really more informational then just the national ESPN and things like that! It really can keep you connected with your favorite hometown teams that may not get the most national coverage; for a great example Cleveland Sports! They showcase the players and coaches well so you can really stay up to date with everything going on with your favorite team! How it works is you go to the teams or regions menus. Then click for the league you prefer, either NBA, MLB, etc. Then you can scroll and choose the team and games or shows you intend to watch! It’s really as easy as that! And it can be played on a variety of sources! Basically any fire stick or Apple TV device will work, a smart tv, playing on your laptop off the browser, or even using the app or your phone/laptop. They make it very user and mobile friendly which is what I love about the Network!
End of Season Recap and What is in store for the Future
Well we made it to the end of the season. It’s been a rough week since we last talked! The Cavs unfortunately came up short in their final game of the season. While trying to make it into the playoffs the Cavs just couldn’t handle Brooklyn and Atlanta and were sent home after a promising first half of the season. This can really show what injuries and fatigue can do to a team. To put some perspective on that, the Cavs were Second in the Eastern Conference at the All-Star break. That means with just 26 games left the Cavaliers went from Second to Ninth! That just shows how badly we needed our core guys down the stretch and in the 4th quarter of big games. With Jarrett Allen being out our defense went from top 5 to bottom 5 in the league when he did not play. Throughout the season the Cavaliers had 18 games with a lead of double digits where they ended up losing. This could be coaching, but my money is on fatigue and just not having enough in the gas to deal with all the injuries down the stretch. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this young core for the upcoming season. In my opinion we need to bring Lauri, LeVert, and Sexton off the bench if they can by into that roll. Next we need to bolster the roster with 3&D guys who can surround Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen! The off-season should be one wild ride, Sexton and LeVert contract extensions, the draft (we have the 14th overall pick), free agency, and so much more! Cavaliers fans have a very exciting off-season and upcoming season to look forward to!
