Blog 1: Welcome to Cavs Insider
Welcome to the official Cavaliers Insider Blog. For the first blog post I would like to introduce myself and all of what this blog is going to entail. Sports are my thing, I couldn’t imagine going a day and not watching or doing something sports related. I grew up basically living and breathing sports and athletics in general. Going from practice to practice, sport to sport, for me nothing was better as a young kid, so the love has always been there.I was a three sport letterman in football, basketball, and baseball throughout high school. College came and I started playing intramural basketball and it relit that fire for athletics and sports in general. So ago when the time came to choose what I wanted to do career wise (started as an undecided major) I drew a blank. I had no idea. I bounced around a couple majors until I realized my true passion was sports. I wanted to be around it anyway I could. Fast forward 5 years and here we are.
Now for this blog’s sake, I basically am a diehard.. I mean DIEHARD Cleveland sports fan. Basically the best fans in any sports franchise.. It's like I was born to be a Cleveland fan. The Ups and downs only make me a stronger human being(laughing but dying inside with that remark). I want to bring consistent, true, and realizable news to the great fans of the Cavaliers organization. If the fans deserve anything it’s that. The land has unarguably the most loyal and deserving fans in the entire NBA. I might be a little biased, but any true basketball fan knows this is the case.
For now let’s get down to business.. The blog. This squad the Cavs have rolling this year is exciting. Most fans thought it was another lottery season but here we are 55 games into the season and at all star break tied for 3rd in the east. Young, energetic, defensive minded, and hungry this Cavs team is the most exciting I’ve watched since the 2016 championship teams. For one Koby Altman has done a hell of a job turning this organization around post LeBron years. They’re going into the all star break at 34-21 on the year. This year is slightly more special when it comes to the all star game. Cleveland is the host city so the team is excited to be thriving this year. Darius Garland (point guard) is representing the Cavs in the actual all star game being selected to his very first one. Evan Mobley (Rookie of the Year Favorite) and Isaac Okoro are slated to play in the rising stars game this year. Finally the team has big man Jarrett Allen helping the squad out in the skills challenge this year. It has been a crazy couple days for the NBA with the trade deadline ending. Fans are excited about our last minute addition of Caris Lavert. The 20 points per game former Pacer star is reuniting with Jarret Allen, a former teammate. As for the latest injury report Lauri Markanen is still out until after the all star break. The Cavs are rocking this year looking very promising for the postseason. I can’t wait to share this season with you all!!
